This is a seedling population, and the plants are blooming size. They produce one to two inflorescences per growth with three to four flowers per inflorescence. The flowers will mostly white with a central 'bee' of orange to cherry red.
Light: They prefer low to medium light, similar to Phalaenopsis orchids. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent leaf burn.
Temperature: Keep them in cool to intermediate conditions. Daytime temperatures of 70-75°F and night temperatures of 60-65°F are ideal.
Humidity: These orchids thrive in high humidity levels of 70-80%. If necessary, use a humidity tray.
Water: Miltoniopsis like to stay evenly moist but not waterlogged. Water thoroughly when the top inch of potting mix starts to dry out.
Fertilizer: Use a balanced orchid fertilizer (20-20-20) every two weeks during active growth, reducing to monthly in winter.
Repotting: Repot annually in the spring after blooming, using a fine-grade potting mix.
Remember, Miltoniopsis are a bit finicky compared to other orchids, so they'll need a little extra care and attention, however they will reward you with large fragrant blooms for your efforts.
